Exploring the Marvel Characters - Captain America
So I figured that we should explore all the characters of the Marvel Universe and since my favorite Marvel character is Captain America I figured I should begin with him. Some might argue in the defense of Iron Man or Thor or Hawkeye or any other Marvel character but secretly we all know that Cap is #1. Here are a few reasons why that is true:
His patriotism – Captain Rogers will defend his country to his dying breath and it is evident in how it hurts him to see how much America has changed in the 70 years he was frozen.
Doing the dirty work himself – Captain doesn’t rely on technology unlike someone…cough-Ironman-cough… which is why Captain finds out what Nick Fury is up to before Tony.
His words of wisdom – Captain had a rough childhood; orphaned as a teen and left with just Bucky. Cap has the ability to make sure his opinion is known in the politest but also most threatening way possible.
Cap gives a good pep talk – The Cap is a man of many inspiring words and definitely good with his words. (Even when he was scrawny)
One time he saved nearly 400 men all by himself – and if that doesn’t put Captain above everyone else as a wholesome, pure human being then I really don’t know what else does.
Cap works well on a team but he isn’t ready to call out on their flaws either
His loyalty to his friends and pretty much the entire world – Cap woke up 70 years later in a world where he knew no-one yet he found a team, and he (in Civil War) infiltrates the Raft to rescue his team from the government’s clutches. What more do you want from a hero?
His love for Peggy – Captain Rogers has only truly loved one woman before, Peggy Carter, a badass British spy and his love for her extends 70 years and even after her death, she still continues to influence his decisions.
He knows how to fight with a shield – Cap doesn’t have a sword to go with his shield but he makes it work by bouncing it around and doing all that fancy flipping, you gotta low someone who knows how to handle his weapons.
Confining him to small space won’t stop him from kicking ass
Cap is smart – In Civil War, Steve is the only one seen actually reading the Accords and that was because he realized that things weren’t quite as they seem having dealt with organizations like HYDRA and SHIELD before and witnessing the downfall of both.
He looks good – Cap Rogers is played by Chris Evans who did win the Chris VS Chris battle and also he manages to look good at the end of a battle
